Natural peace and togetherness on the waves of Keurusselkä
Tavinsulka's kayaking trip with picnic lunch and beach sauna offers the perfect combination of experience, relaxation and the joy of doing things together in the beautiful lake scenery. This unique experience is suitable for experienced nature lovers as well as first-time paddlers. The excursion starts at Hotel Viikinhov with a safety and technical briefing by trained guides. Life jackets and other safety equipment will be distributed and the guide will be with you throughout the trip.
A leisurely paddle through the beautiful Keuruu scenery to a lava lodge, where you can enjoy delicious Karelian pies and dried berries, as well as cold or warm juice. At the end of the kayaking trip, we prepare a tasty picnic lunch together. Each participant can take part in lighting the campfire and preparing the beach lunch if they wish. Cooking over an open fire in beautiful coastal scenery and surrounded by nature brings a special atmosphere to cooking. After the meal, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding nature on the beach terrace. The Viikinhov also offers a relaxing beach sauna, where you can recover from a day of paddling. Bringing your own sauna equipment is recommended, but a towel can also be hired if necessary.

Meeting at Hotel Viikinhov. The trip includes safety training, appropriate equipment, snacks and lunch, guided paddling trips (approx. 1h per direction) and a beach sauna at Hotel Viikinhov. The total duration of the trip is about 5 hours depending on the paddling speed and the length of the lunch. The excursion must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Comfortable and warm clothing and a relaxed attitude will ensure the best possible experience. In addition to the picnic lunch, our guides will provide snacks and drinks. Special dietary requirements can also be catered for with prior notice.
Further information
On special request, we can also organise longer paddling trips to other lodges or nature sites in the area. Depending on the season, our guides can also organise guided nature activities such as berry or mushroom picking at the destination. You can also book a tailor-made excursion for a larger group.
Price from May to October
Canoeing 70 € / person. This excursion requires 7 people or a minimum charge of €495 (25 people maximum). You can book in advance and you will be contacted at least 2 days before the start of the trip.
Saunas 10 € per person for an additional fee, towel fee 4 e. The initial fee for the excursion sauna is 60 e.
